Regional Interfaces would work for game's bid too
mackay01@canada.com

Here's a project , IMHO, that may have succeeded if it had of originally been planned and proposed by all three Maritime provinces together, rather than apart. Let's face it, a small city like Halifax, Nova Scotia was not realistic in thinking that they could compete with the two other bid cities (Abuja, Nigeria and Glasgow, Scotland), especially when they have 2.5 million and 2.3 million people respectively. More than the total population of the three Maritime provinces combined.

Again, there is a lesson to be learned here for all our local government representatives and officials in NB, NS, PEI and Newfoundland. That being, if we are ever to compete in a competitive global economy, whether it be for the host of a games or for a company within the KBE [knowledge based economy], we must first and foremost find a way to work together regionally rather than go it alone. As the latter will only lead to more failed bids and projects like the 2014 Commonwealth Games bid.

Let's face it, we're small enough together, and even smaller apart.
